Really, who is Dan Klee?
My name is Dan Klee and I am a research associate in the Oken Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR. I received my bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in psychology from the University of Oregon Clark Honors College (2012; summa cum laude) and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in biostatistics from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. I have extensive experience with scalp electroencephalography (EEG) and my research focuses on electrophysiologic markers of visual attention, often in the context of non-implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). I have also contributed to research on a variety of other topics, including visual working memory, mindfulness, stress, and Alzheimer’s disease. I am currently a member of the Consortium for Accessible Multimodal Brain-Body Interfaces (CAMBI), a collaborative of engineers, scientists, and clinicians using user-centered methodologies to study BCIs designed for communication. You can read more about our work at https://www.cambi.tech/.
When I’m not researching brains, learning statistics, or sharpening my R skills, you can find me gardening with my wife, Sara, or playing with our dog, Marko.
